I’m a 50-something former ‘Pom’ that came to Australia in the late-‘eighties, working in the ‘Spatial-industry‘ in a cartographic-role but my main motivation to settle in the Dayboro area was the wealth of bird-species that I came across. Since then I’ve recorded nearly 300 and countless other natural-wonders. I’ve also traveled extensively globally and within the continent but am always impressed by the ease at which I can find wildlife here (I recently got ‘re-located’ to Melbourne and found the scarcity of nature quite depressing….but fortunately I’m back in SE Qld again now!)
