Lock-Down Sound-Recording

During the COVID-19 Pandemic threat Queensland has had to endure similar ‘lock-downs’ to the rest of Australia but however (so far to date) we have been ‘permitted’ to exercise locally (…and in ‘isolation’!) therefore I have been taking the opportunity to record some ‘wildlife-audio’ on my own in local-parks, taking advantage of the reduction in ‘Anthropogenic-noise‘.

These are some of the most recent-soundscapes, I have tried to keep them as ‘edit-free’ as possible, however on occasion there seems to be plenty of ‘noise’ and so I have applied some hi-pass filters and noise-reduction. There is also a ‘Mystery-call’ which I think sounds a bit like a Cicadabird but recalls a Leaden Flycatcher, possibly (?)

Main player on this is a male Golden Whistler, but there are other species in there too.

Loved this Tom! Your Golden Whistler and Pied Butchie have some amazing variations, so different to mine here. I don’t recognise the mystery caller at all I”m afraid. The third Riverbank soundscape is fabulous!! No anthropegenic noise! And such a long sequence.
I can hear Rufous Shrike Thrush, (wonderful calls) Eastern Whipbird, Sulphur Crested Cockie, Lewin’s Honeyeater, Varied Triller, Large Billed Scrub Wren?, Superb Blue Fairywren?, is there a Redbacked too? White Browed Scrub Wren, Spectacle Monarch?, Willy Wagtail. But who is making that repeated high pitched call at 3.48? and the long whistle? Coucal pheasant. Cows. Grey Shrike Thrush.
I think it would be useful as a record if you can add the time of day and the general locality if possible. Let me guess, was this early morning?
